This is an exciting time to join Datameister, as we are 100% self-funded and have the autonomy to choose our projects.
We work on a base of trust. We allow flexible working hours, but we also believe in valuable face-to-face time at our Ghent office about two days per week.
Position: Junior AI Engineer
Location: Ghent (Hybrid)
Your Role:
Emerging Problem Solver:
Dive into challenging tasks, understanding and segmenting them into actionable steps. With the support of our team, you will cultivate the skills to approach and solve complex issues.
Project Awareness:
Harness your knowledge to spot potential project challenges early on. This proactive approach will be instrumental in ensuring projects remain on track and solutions are found swiftly.Code Development:
Contribute to the crafting of code that meets our high standards, aiming for efficiency, robustness, and scalability in every solution you develop.
Team Interaction:
As an integral member of our team, collaborate actively both within Datameister and with our clients. Realize the potential of teamwork, where shared insights lead to enriched outcomes.
Research & Growth:
Engage with our diverse team, from PhD researchers to industry experts. Participate in brainstorming sessions, fuel your innovative spirit, and immerse yourself in hands-on experience with prototyping.
Key Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, or related fields.
Initial experience or strong academic background in AI, notably in Computer Vision or other relevant technologies (3D, Computer Graphics, Cloud, LLMs).
Limited experience with current AI frameworks and tools.
Proficient programming skills in Python.
(Optional) experience with cloud platforms and deployment strategies.
An innovative mindset and enthusiasm for problem-solving.
